Use this tool to find station(s) of interest, display detailed information about a station including its location, what data it collects and the time period for which data are available, view and download recent data, view interactive graphs, and download static versions of the graphs.
Find Stations
Use the filters provided in the Search menu. To see a list of stations selected, click on the Stations tab.
- Agency: Choose a single agency to display stations for that agency. Selecting multiple agencies is not supported.
- Station Status: “Active” stations have data that was collected within the expected timeframe for the station. “Inactive” stations are operating, but data has not been received within the expected timeframe. “Decommissioned” stations are no longer operating but archived data are available.
- Last Update: Use this filter to select stations based on when data were most recently collected. Choose the time period in which you are interested.
To get details about a station and see the data it has collected, click on its marker on the map to view a popup. For more about the agency that collected the data, click on its name. To get more information about the station and see data, click the “Additional Details” button.
View Station Details and Data
The Station Details page tells you more about the selected station and gives you the opportunity to view data, graph it, and download it.
Buttons are provided for each of the parameters collected at the station. Clicking on a button will cause an interactive graph to be displayed. Hover over the graph to see individual values. Use the menu in the top-right corner to download data or a static version of the graph.
Filtering via External Links
Instead of using the filter menu, you can choose which stations are displayed by constructing a URL that contains a query string. Examples:
-
Find stations operated by Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve:
/data-mapper/?agency=EBAP_WQ
Use the datasource code for the agency of interest. (See Data Source List below.)
-
Find stations with a status of Active:
/data-mapper/?status=A
A=Active, I=Inactive, D=decommissioned (not case-sensitive)
-
Find stations that collect Weather data:
/data-mapper/?data=weather
Values for “data=”: rainfall, flows, levels, wq, weather, gw
-
Find stations with data collected in the past hour:
/data-mapper/?lastupdate=60
The update period is expressed in minutes. One day is 1440 minutes.
-
You can use more than one filter in a URL, placing an “&” between them. For example, to find all Sarasota ARMS weather stations with an Active status:
/data-mapper/?agency=SARASOTA_ARMS&status=A&data=weather
