Lake County to Open Two Cold Weather Shelters and a Warming Station

Lake County — With a significant cold front moving into the area, the Lake County government will open a cold-weather shelter from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. tonight and Friday (Jan. 23 - 24). The shelter is located at LifePointe Church (3551 East Orange Ave., Eustis).

In addition to the cold-weather shelter in Eustis, Lake County will also open a cold-weather shelter from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. tonight (Jan. 23), at Hope International Church (13806 State Road 33, Groveland).

Additionally, the Salvation Army will open a warming station to help residents stay warm outside of shelter hours. Located at 2605 South St. in Leesburg, the warming station will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday and Friday (Jan. 23 - 24).
