Conservation District to host tree giveaway on Jan. 14

The Lake Soil & Water Conservation District, in partnership with the Florida Division of Forestry, will be giving away bare-root trees at the Lake County Agricultural Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares, on Thursday, Jan. 14, beginning at 11 a.m.
Each person will be allowed one tree of each available variety: Red Maple, Southern Magnolia, Pignut Hickory, Myrtle Leaf Holly and Sabal Palm. The trees are free, but donations will be accepted.
