Lake County to present informational meeting on new landscape ordinance

The Lake County Department of Growth Management, Planning & Community Design Division, is hosting an informational presentation followed by a question-and-answer session about the County's newly adopted landscape ordinance on Wednesday, March 31, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Clermont City Hall, located at 685 W. Montrose St.
Registration for the landscaping presentation is not required, but is encouraged by calling Joan Greaney at (352) 343-9739 or emailing jgreaney@lakecountyfl.gov. The new landscape ordinance does not apply to property within a municipality.
The Lake County Board of County Commissioners approved the new landscaping ordinance in December 2009. The ordinance implements Florida Friendly landscaping techniques, encourages water conservation and incentivizes the preservation of trees.
