Lake County Stormwater completes Dead River pond

The Stormwater Section of the Lake County Department of Public Works completed this month the Dead River stormwater pond, located on Dead River Road in the Lake Harris Basin. In addition to improving the area’s stormwater quality, the Dead River stormwater pond is an opportunity to preserve and conserve open land near Lake Harris. Since its completion, staff says the native vegetation planted along the pond is attracting new wildlife to the property.
