UF/IFAS hosts continuing education class on combatting invasive species

The University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension in Lake County is hosting the “Using Early Detection Rapid Response Lists to Combat Invasive Species” Continuing Education Unit (CEU) at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 30 at the Trout Lake Nature Center, 520 E. County Road 44 in Eustis.

“This informative lecture, taught by Gregg Walker of Florida Natural Areas Inventory, will teach residents and pest control operators about early detection rapid response lists and how they can help organizations combat invasive species,” said Brooke Moffis, Lake County UF/IFAS Extension Agent.

The class will offer one Natural Areas Continuing Education Unit for pesticide operators.
