February LIFE Luncheon speakers will be LCWA, FLMS

The LIFE Luncheon in Leesburg will be held 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11 at the Leesburg Community Center, 109 East Dixie Ave., in Leesburg’s Venetian Gardens.

After a delicious buffet-style lunch we will be entertained with an interesting program by Maryann Krisovitch of the Lake County Water Authority and the Florida Lake Management Society. Lake County has a reported 1,400 lakes. Maryann will present some highlights to take family and friends when they visit Lake County. The luncheon costs $10. The LIFE Luncheon in Eustis will be held 11:30 a.m. Feb. 17th at Lake Tech (Vocational School) located at 2100 Kurt Street in Eustis in the faculty dining room on the north side of the building. Please follow the LIFE signs. Lunch will prepared by Lake Tech’s Culinary Arts Program. After a buffet-style lunch entertainment will be provided by Jerry Peacock, a Sons of Confederate and Civil War re-enactor who serves with Veterans Camp #741, 8th Florida Brigade, Florida Division as a drummer and musician. He will share some very interesting and accurate history in a most enjoyable, entertaining and educational way. The luncheon costs $11. LIFE meets monthly for lunch and also schedules bus trips and/or u-drive trips each month. There is no charge to belong to this group, which was founded locally in 1997. LIFE luncheons are scheduled the second Thursday of each month at the Leesburg Community Building in Venetian Gardens and the third Wednesday of each month in The Golden Triangle (with the exception of December and April when a combined luncheon is held in Leesburg).
