Apopka-Beauclair Canal Restrictions

The St. Johns River Water Management District is doing construction in the Apopka-Beauclair Canal, and the canal has limited access from September 2016 through November 2016. The canal is considered a Construction Zone from the lock/dam structure on the north end to the opening into Lake Apopka on the south end. Daily closures are likely. There are underwater obstructions to navigation as well as divers in the water. The weir structure in the southern half of the canal is being removed as part of the navigational improvements associated with the development of the McDonald boat ramp.
