Lake Water Authority hosting night hike on March 8

LEESBURG — The Lake County Water Authority is holding a Bats and Fireflies Party from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on March 8 at the Flat Island Preserve in Leesburg.

Watch bats take flight and fireflies explore the fields on a short night hike. Afterwards, relax by a campfire to make and enjoy some s’mores.

Space is limited to 20 people. Participants are advised to bring bug spray, a flashlight and a folding chair.
