Lake County advises some residents to file Right of Entry forms ahead of Dorian

Residents living on private roads are asked to fill out Right of Entry forms ahead of Dorian

TAVARES – Those living on county non-maintained roads, private roads or private communities without an HOA must fill out a Right of Entry form to allow the county or county contractor to pick up potential future storm debris in their communities. A Right of Entry (ROE) form gives government contractors permission to access private property and begin debris cleanup within the right-of-way. Construction and demolition debris are not included.

The form must be fully completed, signed, and mailed to Road Operations, P.O. BOX 7800, Tavares, FL 32778. Alternately, the form may be signed, scanned and emailed to rightofentry@lakecountyfl.gov. Download the Right of Entry form at bit.ly/LakeCountyFLROE.

“It is very important that residents of private roads fill out the Right of Entry forms before the storm so the county can quickly access these roads to pick up debris during the recovery stage,” said Mary Hamilton, Chief of Operations, Public Works Department. “The form is required to grant permission to the county’s contractor to work on these roads after a hurricane.”
