Volunteers with boats needed for Central Florida Aquatic Cleanup Day, Sept. 18th

The Florida Chapter of the American Fisheries Society, in partnership with the Lake County Water Authority, City of Tavares, the Lake County Museum of Art, and FWC invites the public to Central Florida Aquatic Cleanup Day.

Needed to make the event a success are volunteers with boats to travel the Harris Chain picking up trash and debris. Volunteers in cars and on foot are also needed to help clean up the boat ramps and the shoreline.

Event Details:

• Where: Wooton Park West Boat Ramp, 400 S. Sinclair Avenue, Tavares
• When: Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
