Wekiva River Basin – Peer Review of Draft MFLs Report

The St. Johns River Water Management District will hold an in-person and online public meeting to kick off the peer review of the draft Wekiva River basin minimum flows and levels (MFLs) report. At this meeting, the District will present an overview of the draft MFLs determination and assessment for priority water bodies within the Wekiva River basin

After the presentation, a site visit will start from the Wekiwa Springs State Park Recreation Hall. This will be a car tour stopping at various points of interest within the basin. The site visit is subject to cancellation or may be rescheduled due to inclement weather. One or more members of the District’s Governing Board may attend this meeting.

The purpose of establishing MFLs for the Wekiva River basin is to protect these priority water bodies from significant harm due to groundwater withdrawals. The Wekiva River basin is located within the Central Florida Water Initiative (CFWI) area.

The meeting will be held at:

Wekiwa Springs State Park Recreation Hall
1800 Wekiwa Circle
Apopka, FL 32712
